What costs should you consider?

There are many benefits to purchasing a caravan holiday home in Scotland but you also need to make sure you understand the costs. So, what can you expect?

The purchase price is the main cost when buying a holiday home. Prices vary depending on the age, size and specification of the holiday home.
Consider the option to spread the cost of your holiday home with our flexible finance options
You will pay an annual pitch fee to cover the costs of site maintenance, and pitch services.
Gas and electricity is billed twice a year. The majority of the park has piped gas to the pitch. Limited number of caravans are still on bottled gas. Sewage is included in the site fees. Non-domestic rates (i.e. water) are paid directly to the council, owners on our park do not need to pay non-domestic rates due to the arrangement the park has with Argyll and Bute council.
To protect your caravan holiday home over the cold winter months, it is advisable to perform a winter drain down. You can do this yourself, or we can provide this service for you.
Your caravan should be insured annually, and there are specialist providers offering appropriate policies.
