A Place of Family & Memories
The Story of Rosneath Castle Park
Rosneath Castle Park is more than a business – it’s a family legacy, one that has been shaped by generations of care, dedication, and a deep appreciation for this beautiful place since 1954. Many people know the history of Rosneath Castle itself, but the story of the Quibell family and how we came to own and run the park is just as special to us, and something we are excited to share.
It all began in 1954 when Edward Boyd Quibell purchased Rosneath House and Gardens. His son, Ian – with wife Gertie – took on the running of the park from 1960, laying the foundations of what would become a cherished holiday destination.
In 1983, David Quibell stepped in to lead the park into a new era, growing and expanding it over the next 30 years with his wife, Sheila.
In 2019, David and Sheila’s son, Richard, and his wife, Sarah, took on the running of the park, the fourth generation of the Quibell family to do so. They faced the challenges of the Covid lockdown period and are now leading and planning for a successful future, placing the customer at the centre of their thinking, supported and encouraged in the background by the older Quibells.
We understand Rosneath Castle Park is a cherished home from home for many of our holiday home owners. It holds decades of memories, not just for our family but for the residents, holidaymakers, and staff who have made it what it is today. Our dedicated team, shares the same passion and pride for the park that we do and we are incredibly proud of how far Rosneath Castle Park has developed into the park it is today. We are grateful to everyone who has been part of its journey, so whether you have been visiting for years or are discovering us for the first time, you are a welcome part of our story too.
